The Jimmy Choo Eyewear Story
Jimmy Choo is a leading luxury brand with an empowered sense of glamour and a playfullydaring spirit.
The brand traces its roots to a bespoke shoemaker named Jimmy Choo, based in the East End
of London in the early 1990s, who catered to the global jet set, including Princess Diana. The
Jimmy Choo company was founded in 1996, with Mr Choo’s niece, Sandra Choi, coming on
board as Creative Director, a position she holds to this day.
Choo started manufacturing designer eyewear in 2007 and has become a name associated
with sophisticated luxury.
Jimmy Choo introduced its new ophthalmic frame and sunwear collections in 2008, drawing
on the brand’s emblematic luxury to create its own hallmark style—intense, independent,
bold and most assuredly glamorous. Jimmy Choo frames add a touch of femininity and
elegance to every outfit.
