Our most in depth eye examination. In addition to all of the standard checks and retinal photographs we will also take a scan of the back of your eyes. This allows us to learn more about your eyes and check for any underlying eye conditions that have not yet presented. The OCT scan allows us to see all the layers of the retina (the part you see with) not just the top surface.We will also conduct an intensive glaucoma check and peripheral vision assessment.

Adult Examination
NHS Basic (Adult)
Free

A free basic adult eye examination provided to you by the NHS. It includes all the basic checks. Patients eligible for a basic adult NHS test are patients on certain benefits, patients that have Diabetes or Glaucoma, over 40yrs old with a family history of glaucoma, complex prescriptions, HC2, registered as sight impaired and for anyone over 60 years.

Upgrade your eye examination with a NHS Enhanced Examinations, which are paid partly by the NHS, with the patient paying the balance.

Free

A free basic child eye examination provided to you by the NHS. It includes all the basic checks. Patients eligible for a basic child NHS test are patients under 16 years or 16-18 years in full time education.

Private Examinations

Private examinations are available for everyone that does not come under the NHS criteria. We offer a choice of eye examinations, bronze, silver or the gold eye examination. The gold test is our most comprehensive and in depth eye examination. Your eyes will be tested using a variety of methods, ensuring every aspect of your vision and eye health has been thoroughly checked.

NHS Supported Examinations

NHS Enhanced Examinations are paid partly by the NHS, with the patient paying the balance. We offer three different types of NHS enhanced examinations, Bronze, Silver or Gold, to ensure your eyes receive the most in depth care. You get to choose how intensive you wish your eye health check to be. Free basic NHS funded tests are available to patients under 16 years, 16-18 years in full time education, patients on certain benefits, patients that have Diabetes or Glaucoma, over 40 yrs old with a family history of glaucoma, complex prescriptions, HC2 and for anyone over 60 years.
