Contact lens are a great alternative for patients that would like to be glasses free for social events, not wear glasses for sports or prefer their appearance without glasses.

  • Soft Daily contact lenses are worn for the day and discarded at the end of the day. The most hygienic type of contact lens available and they do not require contact lens cleaning solution.
  • Soft 2 weekly contact lenses, last for two weeks, they need to be cleaned after each use and stored in contact lens solution when you are not wearing them. These are classed as reusable contact lenses.
  • Soft monthly contact lenses last for month, they need to be cleaned after each use and stored in contact lens solution when you are not wearing them. They are discarded 1 month after you first open them. These are classed as reusable contact lenses.
  • Soft Yearly or Hard two yearly contact lens,are discarded after 1 or 2 years depending on the type you have. They again need to be cleaned after each use and stored in contact lens solution when you are not wearing them. These are classed as reusable contact lenses.

There have been huge advancements in contact lens. Majority of patients can now enjoy contact lenses despite what their prescription is. So if you think you may not be able to get your prescription in contact lenses, think again! In the most basic terms, you have two types of contact lenses available, hard and soft. Soft lenses usually come in, daily, 2 weekly, monthly, yearly.  Hard lenses can last for up to two years. The most commonly used contact lenses are daily and 2 weekly, this is because most prescriptions are now available in daily or 2 weekly contact lenses.

  • Distance vision contact lenses.
  • Distance vision contact lenses that correct astigmatism.
  • Multifocal contact lenses that corrects distance and near vision.
  • Custom made contact lenses for complex distance prescriptions.

Mr Magudia, our most senior optician, also fits hard contact lenses (RGP) and specialised hard or hybrid contact lenses for clients that have a complex prescription or suffer from an eye condition like keratoconus.

Most of our patients have joined our £13 per month, Contact Lenses Eye Care Plan. This allows you a yearly eye test, two contact lens checks per year, all emergency appointments and 25% off any contact lenses you purchase. You will also get 25% off Sunglasses, Glasses, Lenses, Accessories, Eye Drops and Solutions.
